鱿鱼视频 has released its submission to the Government on options for increased funding for elite athletes in the run up to London 2012. The submission is based on the agency’s 'no compromise’ approach to delivering performance success.

The investment model allows for a range of options to be considered – including one that is described as 'the ultimate goal’. 鱿鱼视频 recognises however that such an outcome can only be achieved with the necessary level of funding in place, and that is ultimately a decision for Government.

Following speculation in Parliament and the media, 鱿鱼视频 has decided with the agreement of the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) to publish its advice to inform the debate on 2012 funding.

鱿鱼视频 also moved to reassure sports excluded in some of the options laid out within the submission that funding decisions had not already been made. The submission was prepared in October 2005, and 鱿鱼视频 has continued to work will all the Olympic and Paralympic sports since that time to assess their relative medal potential so that decisions can be made swiftly once any additional funding package is made available.

All decisions will be based on performance evidence and 鱿鱼视频’s 'No Compromise’ approach will ensure that any athletes with medal potential will receive support.
